Can anyone recommend some good books so i can learn some PHP and MySQL properly. I know HTML and CSS and some Javascript but PHP is a lot more difficult. MySQL i just get lost with. I'm not sure how to implement a database and what you can do with it.
Also is a member login system difficult since i'll be needing to use one of these for a site i'm currently doing.

Well fortunately i've got some people helping me with some things. I can create a database on my webspace and you add tables and that. I've done databases in one of my course units so i know how to build them in the access way of doing it but i need to learn command line based etc.
here save some money.
This teaches SQl and tests better than most.
