Consistency Checking of My Windows iPod

Hi Guys,

I'm having a problem with my iPod in that whenever I leave it connected to the PC and turn my computer off and then on it performs a consitency check of the iPod as it is FAT32. How can I make windows not do this, as if I miss the two seconds in which I can cancel the check it takes ages and can't (to my knowledge) be cancelled.
