    Wav to MP3

    I'm wanting to convert some of my purchased audio CD's into MP3 format. Whats the best free software out there for doing that ?I have used RealJukebox in the past but it only does them at 96kbps.

    I have a converter that does MP3 to wav which I bought but it doesn't do what I want it to.

    I used to use audiocatalyst.

    I believe Nero will rip CD's to MP3 these days.

    Nero doesn't work with my Sony writer. Just doesn't recognise it at all unfortunately. Have to take a look at AudioCatalyst

    You should try CDex , it occupies little space in your hard drive only 1-2Mb . The quality is magnificent. I used to other software like Audiograbber, Audiocatalys b4 but switch to CDex because all the mp3 songs converted have no problem with Cowon Jet Audio.

    Audiograbber is free and functional, ive used it for ages.
    For joy, apparently, it was all Franny could do to hold the phone, even with both hands.

    I used to use Music Match a while ago, free version is available but does not give you the full useage out of the software.

    I found it very user friendly

    For conversion of WAV to MP3, I prefer BladeEnc.
