It's not working, and I'm not really sure why.
I use the guide from the second site you linked to, using the drivers you suggested above.
All seems to go OK, I don't have any trouble following it, the only things I'm changing are not using the Silicon drivers and for the hardware ID using all of the lines from the TXTSETUP.OEM file I extracted.
The CD starts fine, I see the new driver listed at bottom of screen, it gets to the 'Starting Windows' part, then where it should show me the list of hard drives, I get the Blue Screen Of Death (TM).
Which "second site"?Originally Posted by UltraPrime
The files and instructions that you need appear to be both on the official Intel site...
What is the STOP error? 0x7F?
Are these the instructions you are following, from Intel's page?:
Insert the lines shown below, as applicable, into the UNATTEND.TXT file:
[MassStorageDrivers]
"Intel(R) 82801GR SATA RAID Controller" = OEM
[OEMBootFiles]
iaStor.inf
iaStor.sys
iaStor.cat
Txtsetup.oem
Place IAAHCI.CAT, IAAHCI.INF, IASTOR.CAT, IASTOR.INF, IASTOR.SYS, and TXTSETUP.OEM into the following folder:
<SystemRoot>:\i386\$OEM$\Textmode
~ I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. ~
PC: Win10 x64 | Asus Maximus VIII | Core i7-6700K | 16GB DDR3 | 2x250GB SSD | 500GB SSD | 2TB SATA-300 | GeForce GTX1080

Thanks for reply, but I sorted it!!!!!!
I used nLite and the driver you linked me to (thanks again), just tested it and it all works fine!
Just going to burn to a DVD-R (was testing on RW) and begin install
Cool.
- I was doing just this a few weeks ago.
I have a FDD, but had failed to enable onboard raid controller, which the sata needs
Daniel
