Hello All,
I was thiking about saving some money by buying the "upgrade" version of windows XP Pro instead of paying the full price. I didn't really want to go the OEM route since the licence will be tied to my current motherboard - I'll probably end up replacing it later on this year and I don't want to be stuck with a useless version of XP.
I know that the installer is more than likely to ask for "proof" of something to upgrade, whether you have to insert a CD of the previous OS or a CD-Key or whatever. However, what I would like to know is whether it is possible to slipstream service packs onto an upgrade version of XP? It would be really handy to be able to do that since I then don't have to spend hours installing updates etc. after I (re)install.
Does anyone know if this has been done?
Thanks for any input.
