Sharepoint Portal Services and Google Search Appliance?

Hey all,
Firstly sorry about this really obscure question. As Hexus has experts from all walks of life, does anyone know anything about using Google Search Appliance to trawl Sharepoint Services websites?

From the reading I have been doing, the Javascript causes the GSP problems and so it cannot navigate down the site heiarchy. There is a web part in beta (link) that is supposed to sort the problem.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
