After buying an MSI laptop a while ago, and reading horror stories about the same model laptop being sent away for repair and coming back damaged on a thread on this very forum, you can imagine my fear when my laptop developed a problem with the screen and had to be sent away to MSI uk for repair.
3 weeks they have had my laptop, and today I got it sent back. The repair note said 2 hours work - mega turn around 3 weeks for 2 hours work.
That aside the screen came back working perfectly and looking good.
however the two plastic covers that go on the end of the screen hinges where hanging off and broke, and the laptop display is actually loose on its hinges. Not so the screen is loose, but if you move the laptop the screen "wobbles" where the screws havn't been tightend up properly.
I can't see the screws so I can just tighten them myself.
what do I do ? send it away for another 3 weeks ? risk it coming back worse, swallow my pride and deal with it ? attempt to find the screws and tighten it ? complain about the snapped covers ?
I'm greatful to have my laptop back in 1 piece, but just a word of warning, its not worth getting anything of value from MSI as their uk repair center just blows.
