Why doesn't MTV Overdrive work? :(

Ok I fancy watching a lot of the stuff they've put on this, and I've used it before, it was pretty good.

But for some reason, it doesn't work, and it doesn't work on my computer downstairs either. Here's the scenario;

I have tried both Firefox and IE (some other browsers like Opera are not compatible, apparently), and with Firefox it greets you with some Active-X thing you have to install with firefox. I install it, but the video box doesn't load anything, it just flashes with some Play icon waiting for it to start, which it doesn't at all.

IE is a similar story, except the thing starts but I can only hear the audio.


I've tried updating my codecs, I'm using the latest K-Lite codec pack from a day or two back. I even updated my WMP to 11, since it uses some kind of WMP-Embedded DRM thing based in flash. Oh, and I've updated my Flash player to version 9.


I'm using Windows XP with SP2 installed if that's any help. All other videos on the net I come across - flash or media-player based - all work. Even MTV Overdrive for the U.S works, although I think that may be completely flash based.

I was thinking it might be the conflict of the K-Lite codecs or something, since both computers have it...

lol Yeh I'm not suprised, if it barely supports Firefox then Linux is pretty far-fetched.
