Hi,
I have a Corsair Force 3 running firmware 1.3.3, but I see the website says 5.02 as the latest version or something, that is a massive jump so is 5.02 the latest or is 1.3.3 right for my drive?
Thanks
Jon

You are indeed correct check out the offical forum thread, bookmark it as well
However as Yellowbeard has stated, if you have a stable SSD don't update the firmware unless you have problems which would be solved by the changelog.
I have a Force series GT and 3 and won't be updating unless there's a problem or it improves transfer speeds

Yeah I read that thread, but it doesn't actually say whether going from 1.3.3 to 5.02 is correct, it just says what the latest firmware was, hence why I came here to find out.
I am not too worried about updating right now, just wanted to find out what the latest version was and if 5.02 was correct as it does seem a world away from 1.3.3
Thanks for the help

The question you have ask is do you need to update the firmware, It's not an upgrade, it's an update to fix problems. The corsair forum is quite specific on this as well
Edit: you can PM yellowbeard if you want to be sure

To be honest, I am trying to find out what the latest version is, whether I need to update or not is neither here nor there, I am just trying to find out what the latest version is and if 5.02 is the latest version. Also if it is, is there a new update numbering scheme as 1.3.3 to 5.02 is quite a distance.

"If it aint broke dont fix it" I have just had to RMA a OCZ 60gb vertex 3 after a failed firmware update good job i made a system image before i started or i would have been up the creek without a paddle
