not a crew to be proud of but ive recently got athletes foot, and treated it. But i want to reduce the risk by getting some decent breathable trainers for everyday use, not for serious running or anything
any suggestions?

I'm not part of the crew, but I like to use Adidas Climacool trainers for general use, I like the look of them and they keep my feet cool. Very comfortable too.
I got a pair for £30 from the Adidas online store last year.
Short of sandals I can't really recommend any footwear that I know to be really breathable. I would say, if you can afford it, get a bunch of some good socks like these:
Hike-Lite X-Socks Airforce One Sock
I know they're very expensive but trust me, they're damned good.
I'd also keep your feet powdered for the next several weeks with something like Mycil.
u also can use canestan cream ( most households will have this )
You could try punching a few ventilation holes in your existing trainers. They would not be watertight anymore but you should notice a big difference.
i see many people make this mistakes at the gym, make sure you feet is really dry before putting on your shoes/socks
