Said this in the Premierleage thread and I mean it as a compliment.

Gary Nevile is the biggest overachiever I have ever seen play football. He had no natural ability to play football but worked really really hard to become one of the most consistend right backs in the country and as much as I hate to say it we still miss him at international level.

I don't know about that. He was as good as Beckham at crossing the ball at one point in his career, you don't get that through hard-work alone.

I agree though that he performed above the level his talent would indicate, just shows what a bit of commitment and desire can do for a footballer.

Beckham has said before that the only way he got so good at crossing the ball was practising for hours every day after practise.

The thing about Neville is he was loved by man u supporters and hated by every other team. He`ll be a legend if only for that.

You could probably say the same about Carragher to an extent. Not a jibe, I just don't think he is the most gifted player, yet his passion, drive and commitment has made him the player he is.
