Good to see him win but i dont think I have ever seen someone win their first grand slam and look so miserable about it.
I didnt watch the match as the missus doesnt have sky sports but I was following on Twitter and was so happy he did it
After sitting through the heart break that was the wimbledon Final I started to wonder if he would every actually win a slam but after the olympics performance in the final(federer was taking the olympics seriously as it was the only thing he hasnt won) I started to believe
Yes , it was right up there in terms of drama for sure.
Now its going to be interesting as Murray will have a legit chance of perhaps going for no 1 (Hes no 3 now and been as high as No 2 ) with the indoor part of the season starting ( the next part in the tennis calendar now the hardcourt season is done )
No more grandslams until next Januarys Oz Open but theres the big ATP Tour finals in London for the worlds top 8 thats held in November.
For the record I dont think there has ever been a British World no 1 in either men or women( even before the open era )
Conformation of Murrays intent to dislodge the GOAT ( Greatest of all time ) otherwise known as Lord Fed AKA Federer
