From your description it sounds like something I often get after a hard workout. However, mine has been linked to me having Asthma when I was younger!
As long as you're not feeling breathless around the time of that metallic taste just enjoy your sick satisfaction with it aha!

I get the same taste after hard-cardio if I haven't worked out in a while. I've always presumed it's a consequence of working my lungs hard.
