More dropped catches than batsman runs?:-)

I was intrigued that there was lots of analysis about Ashton Agar's bowling, comparing his series figures to Swannys. I personally think that's a bit unfair - the kid's 19 years old and playing in his first test series. You wouldn't expect him to be doing as well as Swann.
OTOH, you could also compare his bowling figures to Joe Root's. Root has now taken 3 wickets in 9 overs in this series. Agar has 2 in 84. As good as Swann? He was never going to be. Worse than Joe Root? There you've got a problem...
That was a thoroughly enjoyable test from an English perspective. Yes it was very one-sided, but I've very little sympathy for the Aussies. Periods of dominance in sport are always cyclical, and they put England to the sword plenty of times between 1989 and the early 00's.
It was also encouraging to see during this second test that we're not as reliant on Jimmy Anderson as the Aussies would have us believe.
Agar - I don't think he'll play at Old Trafford. Amazing as it was to watch his 98 at Trent Bridge, you just can't afford to carry someone with those bowling figures in an Ashes series....
