    Updating SSD firmware

I have a SSD on the way for a new OS drive (combined xmas+bday pres for next 2 years!) and going to install new W7 pro (still running RC atm.)

I have been told that intel recently released a firmware update so I don't know whether to slap it in an existing system and run the update tool (if required) or to install the OS first an then upgrade.

I am inclined to do the former but is it likely to make any difference?

    Thanks.

    Re: Updating SSD firmware

I did mine before installing the O/S, there is guide on the interweb thingy that shows you how to do it from a flash drive in bios.
