    N299 setup

I have the N299 currently set up on a Mac network. I have upgraded to the latest firmware.
I am having trouble getting data on to the N299.
USB copy from the front panel creates an empty file.
If I copy data across using drag/drop or copy/paste some or none of the data is copied across.
In one case where the data has been copied across, it dissapeared!
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: N299 setup

    Welcome to my world!
I have managed to sort out files transfers heres afew steps to try

make sure you have the latest and greatest firmware installed

Turn off/ disable all services except smb/cifs, for mac don't need to enter any workgroup.

    Don't use the apple network.

    Connect to server using smb://ipaddressofyourN299

    points to note;
    I am running Leopard.
    I disabled

    Thanks Steele.
    will try all of that.
I am on the latest and greatest , it says after loading it you should remove and redo the raid. (Sorry cannot remember the correct terminology.) Of course nothing happens when you do this!

    Thanks again.
