Hi,
I purchased a N5200PRO + 4x Samsung HD103UJ 1TB more then 2 months ago but have yet to store any data on it. Every time I built a RAID it always degraded within a few days regardless of which disks were involved.
Since there were known issues with Samsung drives, I decided to wait for a stable driver before bothering with the N52000PRO anymore.
2 days ago I upgraded to V2.00.12 and built a RAID1 on disks 1 and 2. It completed successfully so I started a 2nd RAID1 on disks 3 and 4 and left it overnight. In the morning i found the 2nd RAID had degraded with the log showing "Hard Disk 3 on N5200 has an I/O error".
I attempted to access the disk information of the drive at fault but all fields were blank. I removed the 3rd disk (3rd from the top) and reinserted it. N5200PRO crashed. Rebooting revealed "Disk 4 on N5200 has been removed" in the log. I am sure I removed disk 3, not 4!
The first RAID is still healthy. I have identified disk 3 as spare for the 2nd RAID and it is rebuilding. I will post updates... can't imagine trusting data on my N5200PRO anytime soon!
cheers
