    iScsi Question

    I have a N5200 Pro with 5 x seagate 500GB Hard Discs in Raid 5 configuration

    When I setup the Raid I assigned 5% to a Raid 5 data area = approx 100GB

The remaining space 95% (2.4 GB - system space) I want to assign to an iscsi device

My question is, Is the iscsi device spread across the 5 disks and does it still have the redundancy of the Raid 5 setup or will it just effectively be one drive where if any disk fails I will loose data ?

    Re: iScsi Question

All data are stored on the raid, so the answere is: Yes, the isci device is protected by the raid
