    N5200Pro froze at boot up

Hello everyone - I was trying to install the Perl module into the N5200, but after waiting for more than 1 hour for this process to complete but it didn't, I decided to exit the browser and press the power off button. Now when I turn on the the box, it hang at right at the beginning, with the system test... display on the panel.

What had I done ???? How do I get it out of that test mode?

    Thanks

you may have to wait for the raid to rebuild, failing that try booting with no drives in to see if the firmware is fubar, if it is thecus can supply a file to reflash via usb

Looked like I will need that file from Thecus. Anyone in this forum has it? Or do I have to make a request at Thecus for one?

Re: N5200Pro froze at boot up

You can download it here for FW 2.00.14 and FW 2.00.15 - the file is called factory_test.sh and is packed in a zip archive - You have to unpack it.
Read the instructions carefully and DO NOT edit the file with a windows style editor - this will destroy the file and it can't be used anymore - of course You can view it, but don't save it.

    Thank you, peterfu.

I applied your method today and looked like my N5200 is running again (at least I can get into the system via firefox and saw the raid rebuild progress). Hopefully when I come back home tonight, my 3+ TB of 'stuffs' are still there.

Re: N5200Pro froze at boot up

You're welcome and fingers crossed that it works.
Actually, the method is not mine - I just adopt the script to the new FW version - the script is the one thecus support sends out in case You have to apply the FW via USB.
