    Thecus raid

when choosing any raid function or JBOD on my THECUS. Will it format my harddrive? there is no way to do Raid or JBOD without formatting?

i can understand that with raid its likely to format, because of its way of storing data... but even JBOD need to be formattet?

    Re: Thecus raid

If you plug a raid set into a N7700 (from another Thecus/Compatible Linux), it should see it just fine.

If you have to configure it as a raid, it will reformat it.

For a JBOD, I don't know about reformatting. I hope not

Why not just plug the drives in as usb drives? You have ports for up to 6 drives
