    Is this right?

    Thecus N4100+, configured as raid 5, 4 disks, one as a hot spare
    Are these error rates high or low?
    Seem to me to very high but im not sure whether its to be expected or not? Just wondering what you people think
    Trays 2,3 |& 4 are live, tray number one is configured as the hot spare...

    Something is major wrong there.

    My numbers are all 0, had the drives for 4 months of constant use

    @philu: do YOu have the same drives (STM31000528AS) ?
    If You have other drives, then the data are not comparable, the numbers may be in range with this type of drive.

    No

    I have WD RE3 drives right now

    But those numbers are NEVER right. You should not ever have recoverable errors and consider the drive ok, unless the 7700 is bad itself. Controller problems? or Drive problems, I wouldn't trust them'

    All four drives were bought brand new for this N4100+... Maybe someone from Thecus can tell me? All Data was copied over from a Thecus N3200+ with 1 750gb disk in it... Approx 640gb of data, varouis types, Music, videos, documents... all of which are very important...
