    N8800 Performance tweaks

    Hi,

We are seeing really slow speeds when transferring data to our new N8800. Over gigabit connections speeds of 5Mbps are seen, though we see 10 to 20Mbps when moving data between machines.

Does anyone know have any advice or guides on how to tweak the N8800 to get a greater level of performance ?

The switch shows that the device is connected at 1000Mb rather than 10 or 100.

    Olly

i just bought the N5500 and with drag-and-drop on Vista, the max transfer speed is 60MB/s. i think you'd better make sure the network card on your PC and switch are all gigabit.

Yep, all gigabit. We've even tried link agregation on the n8800 to up the connection to 2gbps. Our other nas boxes (5200's, qnaps etc) all run like a charm.
