    Lightbulb Hello from California!

    Hi,

I am an older (45), but new member of the computer enthusiast community.
I enjoy reading articles on Hexus and other sites far, far away from where I live.

I recently came across a partial article I was not able to read from Custom PC, but did have a look at their thermal pictures of various computer cases and am interested in learning more about case cooling, with an emphasis on balance between quiet and cooling.

At this time I am looking to learn a little more about Akasa and FSP Group. It appears they are pretty good companies and I might want to buy their products, but what is the real scoop?

Over where I live neither company is very well known.

Also, when it comes to case cooling are their any pc cases or chasis out there or products that exist to cool the back of a motherboard?

    Glad to be on board!

    Mike

Like the rest of you ........... here to say hi for my first posting. I found this forum by pure chance while trying to Google for a solution to my problem of not being able to 'Convert' my Mesh OEM Office2003 trail version into Student & Teacher full version. I found the thread for the subject and have e-mailed Davey at Mesh hoping for a copy of the 'Office Fix'. It is a pity that there is no mention at all on the Mesh homepage about this forum ... or did I miss it somewhere

I have been a Mesh customer for years but unfortunately this last purchase has left me with a real bad taste. Dual monitors both with numerous pixel faults, no front sound that turned out to be two missing physical jumpers on the motherboard ..... no big deal and I soon fixed it with a packet of jumpers from Maplin.............. but what really got to me was when I telephoned Mesh tech support just to inform them of my findings so they could help others and they had the audacity to tell me that I was wrong (even though I had already fixed the problem) and they had no wish to listen to me. The X800 ATI graphic card was missing the special video output leads for S-video etc and Mesh told me tthe leads do not come with the card (so I bought them direct from the USA for under £20). Oh and one of the two DVI leads that I paid for did not arrive. etc etc etc

Let's hope that Mesh can help me with the MSoffice convert to full S&T problem.
