    G0 Stepping

    Hello

I've noticed your Q6600s are out of stock - does this mean you'll be getting in some nice new G0 (sSpec SLACR) stepping cores in next?

I know it's a rather norty question, but you don't ask, you don't get

What's the easy way to know if the core offers slutty (i.e. nice and easy ) overclocking performance ?
    .
    .

I kept 6 trusted serving men, they taught me all I knew.
There names were what and where and why and how and when and who.

(I also had the HEXUS forums on speed dial just in case )

There isn't one However G0 seems to clock well, but the best feature is it runs cooler and uses less power

If they can guarantee G0 stepping, it might be worth my while popping into the shop to pick one up than risk buying online from someone like Scan where they can't guarantee the stepping

If anyone at YYT can confirm if the new shipment are G0s I'm ordering one as soon as you have them.

    According to this document: http://intel.pcnalert.com/content/eo...N107463-00.pdf
The inventory should have run out yesterday, which means G0 stepping should start filtering through to distributers, and then retailers soon.

Possibly YYT's next shipment will be G0, but it could still easily be B3 again.

I did, I stopped caring about the G0 stepping. Anyway I don't think G0 stepping are going to appear for some time yet anyway.

    Hello,

We just received stock on the q6600 and we have received the B3 Stepping = sSpecNumber SL9UM stock not the G0.

Are you sure the G0 are the best ones to get ? From what I can see on the Intel Website G0 runs at 71c and uses 95w whereas B3 runs at 62.2c and uses 105w.

So would that not make B3 better at overclocking but use more power and G0 less power but bad overclockers ?

I could be wrong but just what it looks like to me

Thats their maximum rated heat output, before they melt basically, not their heat output (which depends on a lot of things)

Sad news, when they get the G0s, I am getting a mobo (Abit probably) and a Tuniq Tower from you ... so get on it and tell intel to send those chips ASAP
