Re: Need Graphic card around £200

hi there, if you are looking to spend around £200 on a graphics card - then i would go for the 8800gt range of graphic card.....
the one i would go for are -

    xfx 8800gt oc alpha dog 512mb ddr3 - £171.59
    yoyocode - 11278

    xfx 8800gt xxx alpha dog 512mb ddr3 - £207.27
    yoyocode - 42283

    hope this helps

I'd go for the 8800GTS - you can get an overclocked one for the same price as those GT cards and the GTS is quicker!

Re: Need Graphic card around £200

hi there, the card recommended above is a very good card, so you will not go wrong with it....

the reason i choose the 8800gt rather then the 8800gts range, is that the 8800gt is the newer card and the pefer is roughly the same as the 8800gts but they run quietier and use less power the the 8800gts....

but both card are very good.....there are a number of benchmarks around, here is one done by hexus....

    hope this helps

    Go for the YOYOtech

It's based on the newer G92 core not the older core found in the 320/640mb GTS.

    more benchmarks

Re: Need Graphic card around £200

the 512mb 8800gts (g92) is a newer card and is def better than the gt and possibly the gtx depending on res.

The cooler on the gt is naff also gts has a more powerful dual slot cooler.
