    Which Would Be Better?

I am a novice when it comes to PC parts etc but with some help on my other thread i had finally settled for this set up:-

    CPU Cooler - Scythe Miné Quiet Heatpipe CPU Cooler S478, S775, S754, S939, S940 compatible YOYO Code - 4996
M/Board - Abit IX38 QuadGT Socket 775, Dual DDR2, SATA Raid, IEEE 1394, HD 7.1, Vista HW Ready Motherboard YOYO Code - 17759
Case - Antec Nine Hundred/Ultimate Gamer Case- no PSU YOYO Code - 80346
    CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Q6600, S775, 2.40 GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 8MB Cache CPU - Retail - G0 Stepping YOYO Code - 62768
PSU - Corsair 520W HX Series Modular Powersupply, ATX, EPS12V, whisper quiet, 5 year warranty YOYO Code - 14341
    Memory - OCZ 4GB KIT 2x2048MB GOLD DDR2 800MHZ PC2-6400 Memory YOYO Code - 50591
    HDD - Hitachi E7K500 500GB SATA2 7200rpm 16MB Hard Disk Drive YOYO Code - 57498
DVDRW - Samsung 20x SATA Lightscribe DVDRW Dual Layer Black YOYO Code - 86075
OS - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit Edition DVD - oem YOYO Code - 611 (Although i'm not sure about 64-bit Vista now, i've read alot about problems with it)
Graphics Card - BFG 8800GTS OC 512MB, PCI-E, DDR3, Dual DVI, HDTV out, HDCP YOYO Code : 57499

So I emailed yoyotech and got a price etc but Ravi said why not go for CPU - E8400 3.0Ghz 6MB Cache 1333FSB and Motherboard - Asus P5N-T Deluxe 780i Sli the price is less than a tenner more but i'm not sure if what was recommended is better than what i had chosen? I'm just looking for abit of advice and opinions, btw the PC will mostly be used for gaming.

    Re: Which Would Be Better?

That looks a pretty good setup. I think I would go for the Core2Duo over the Quad but I guess it depends on what you plan to be doing. If you're the sort of person that likes to encode movies whilst playing Crysis, whilst also editing in Photoshop then the more cores the better. I don't think you would regret either decision however.

Personally I'd go for the new Samsung F1 or Western Digital AAKS drive over the Hitachi.
