MSI NX8800GT-TD512E-HD-OC Problem

Hi guys, I bought the whole system, but the card (cause you didn't have none of the upcoming 8800GT's atm) of you last november, then before i started assembling it i found out a compatibility problem with the antec quattro 850w, so i contacted you and came round to the shop to return it with the packaging untouched (didn't need to open it since found out about the problem in advance) and as i turned up i saw the last MSI NX8800GT-TD512E-HD-OC laying on the shelf, so i asked the assistant about it and it turned out to be what i thought it was It had a fan problem most of the 8800gt's had at the moment so i installed rivatuner and since then it has worked perfectly until i bought a 24 inch monitor, at which point it started dramatically overheating and crashing the system the airflow in my case is very good, as you can see in my system, and i have tried everything (all the available drivers and solutions i could find on the net and even reducing the clocks) to no avail, so i went on to the msi forums and found out that this is one of the early models with potentially broken thermal probe which makes it to crash at higher temps.

So i was wondering if i could rma and exchange it for smth alike or probably dearer in person cause i wouldn't wan to be without a pc for a while (i hope it's possible since my receipt states that i have a 12 months warranty with you and i,m not so keen on sending it to msi and waiting for months for a replacement)

Is it just some magic circle, that you answer one random post a day? why do you even keep your place here on hexus if you don't really care to answer a simple post in 3 days? take a look at scan forums and learn, rarely takes them an hour to answer someone

I am looking into this issue for you and i'm currently awaiting a response from MSI.

Unfortunately we are unable to do a direct swap partly due to the age of your purchase. The only option is for us or you to RMA it direct with MSI.

I will keep you updated with my liaison with MSI.

Hi guys, thanks for the answers was on holiday, so i'll be droping by tommorow to drop of the card and let you rma it if you don't mind as i need a replacement anyway. I'll probably sell it off once it's sorted so I was thinking of geting one of these, Palit 8800GT Sonic 512MB DDR3, Overclocked 650Mhz, Dual DVI, HDTV out, PCI-E Graphics Card

looks like there's only a few left, is there a chance youcould keep one for me until tommorow? Thanks

Its not a normal set procedure to hold stock without a certain percentage paid for, 'reserve & collect'
However, as a one off i will put this card to one side
