Disappointed with my pc case purchased from yo yo tech

topic edited since i've discovered i'm blaming the case. thanks to the guys below for their help in identifying their problem.

Though now my beef is with yo yo tech for selling me the world's noisiest cpu fan and a noisy psu which funnily enough has 'silent' in its title.

Did it come with a psu in the case or have you bought seperatley? Just trying to narrow down the problem as it is normaly a quiet case.

I built one of these up for a friend with a tagan PSU, didn't notice any bad noise!

For a cheap case its rather good, i was thinking of getting one for my dad's new build (his old XP1800 is about too die!). But your making me think twice!

Then again, its a £50 case, your not in the range of proper silencing. Is it just the sound ur upset about? If so just run the fans at 7v, or buy some Sharkoon fans

it's the fan or fans inside the case, i think there's two where the hard drives are. The case is nice and robust but i would have happily paid more for a nice quiet good quality case

haha, thats what you say to piss of the manager of the guy who gave u the advice

I really didn't think anything bad about it when i built one up, nothing particularly good either mind.

I'd seriously get a few of these:
    http://froogle.google.co.uk/froogle?...-8&sa=N&tab=wf

no need for pwm driving the fans then. Really recomened them i've even put them in my gir, my media repository box. Has 2 of these bad boys at 2k rpm. The HDDs in their SilentDrive enclosures make a lot more sound.

I've yet to find anyone stocking these in totenham court road, but one of the guys at the sat computer fair nearest the station stocks them!

Can vouch for sharkoon mate - built a P180 build with one in and all is well and quiet - Can i make a suggestion? The best case for your needs ie quiet is the Antec P180. Not cheap granted but when you take into consideration the refund of the case you were miss-sold you could go for a case that you wont have any problems with.
    Good luck

even with that case the psu is at the bottom and not at the top. so if anything the psu is to low and the cables do not reach up to the motherboard, which i think occurs in very few cases! but i found no problem with the motherboard i used. finding it a superb case. i think u should start using scan dude. they helped with all problems i had on the phone there and then.

    raverbaby,
kul here from yoyotech, checking out all the comments, pretty good, tell you what give me a call tomor, i'll get that case changed, all you gonna need is like what one of the guys stated ' extender cable', unfortunatly we don't sell that, so if you can get that, thats good
we only recomend certain psu's that have cables within

we try and give info to the best of our knowledge, but hey we do our best to try and please everyone, where one isnt please we try and seek alternative to the best of our abilities
