    Good to see this card for only 180 quid, really worth money, wouldnot even look at 8600 Ultra and GT

    is this thats why you increased the prices of the 640mb version?
    lets just hope the price will drop even more once the ati cards are released next month.
    the xfx 8800gts 640mb card was like £260 now its gone up to 300!

    Wonder if there is any chance that the price from distribution changes according to demand ?

    I seem to remember something about supply, demand and pricing from college - but it is all a bit of a blur


    Jokes aside, it is entirely possible that - off the back of a set of review wins - a product achieves a near sell-out and the distributors who bring these products into the country can hike their prices accordingly


    A good one to watch, historically, is memory

    On the run in to Xmas/January, 'commodity fever' kicks in an the price shoots up...

    ...wait for 16th February (for example!) and you can pick up 4GB of Corsair memory for around £200 inc vat !
