IX38 Quad GT - Other MOFSET solutions?

I have been trying to get the Thermalright HR-09S type3 to cool the MOSFETs on this board but no one seems to be getting stock of them.........other then that and the water-block thats available, are there are other more readily available solutions to cooling these MOSFETs?

Really getting sick of waiting (3 months and counting!) to upgrade my system all due to these stupidly hot MOSFETs.

The MOSFET cooling on the IX38-QuadGT is an Alu one. We received some full copper MOSFET heatsinks. I will put them on our webshop (www.abitshop.eu) later this week when the price is available.

Which isn't very generous seeing as how MANY people have issues with the mosfets being too hot.

This board (and i do love it i admit), has been a bit of a rip off from the start.

These heat issues shouldve been addressed with 40mm fans in the box, which for a £130+ board a few months back, were left out.
I had to wait 7 months just to get some fan retaining clips aswell.

Although the P35 boards showed what ABIT are good at, the X38 board showed the very worst.

Like i said, i like the board, i really do, but its put me off ABIT for life so the closure of motherboard manufacture news didnt disappoint me in the slightest.

The issues you found i have not suffered from.
    I have found the board:
    - To be cool enough under load.
    - To overclock VERY well (as i said, upto 3.4ghz without volt increase) and comfortably to 3.6ghz with a very small increase.
    - PWM's stay well within comfortable limits.
    - Dual PCI-E slots great for what i now use it for.
    - Worked with my Q6600 straight out of the box.

The only thing i cannot comment on which you didnt like was the problems with using 45nm CPU's. Until i cahnge over later in the year i cannot say if these issues will surface for me.

Only during the earlier BIOS revisions. During the later revisions people tended to go for the X48's instead. That doesnt say anything to me besides people not being prepared to wait for the BIOS releases.
That is an issue for me aswell as ABIT are VERY slow at that kind of thing but i stuck with it.

Shame you try to make a joke out of somehting your mind didnt fully understand. If you can read it for one second i said I havent had an issue with the mosfets.

I have NEVER said that everyone hasnt had an issue.
Is the explained simply enough for you?

It seems to me that nearly all of your posts since you put up your own website have had that 'Troll' feel about them, whereas as all you pre-Clunk.org posts were pretty useful.
The fact that you are a 'face' here is the reason you get away with it. Pity the admins dont feel comfortable with dealing with it like they do others.

If there is an issue to be dealt with, it'll be dealt with. At the moment I don't see one.

Although Blitzen, you will have to excuse me here because I'm a bit confused...

It was not too long back that you were telling us how Disillusioned you were with Hexus, that you vowed not to post here again, and have made it clear several times that you think you are being targeted.

Now I'm going to be straight with you here:
I am tired of reading how you think the mods and admins are not doing a good enough job
I am tired of having your posts reported by people within this forum
I am tired of seeing arguments and hostility on the forum if someone disagrees with you

So I offer you a proposal - Either take your own advice and stop posting here, or stop complaining about how we run the forum.

    Exactly the answer i expected.
    Shame.......
    1. I vowed not to post again as you turn a BLIND EYE to real problems and abuse your powers upon response. <---Poor judgement
    2. Disillusioned as, not for the first time, you make poor decisions. (without facts)
    3. Targeted - As above really........you read what you want to rather than fact.....

I did hold off a response but you are such an advocate of the 'face fits' school, i had to.

I am tired of you blinkered moderation
I am tired of your lack of consideration
I am tired of your lack of consistency on your decision
I am tired of your moral highness

Do what you need to do as, because your self proclaimed doubt superior powers, i haven't bothered posting here, as i find the moderation here bordering on pointless over the last few months.

The fact that you claim to be the most informative site on the net, yet have a select few moderatrs that are clearly poor, is a bad advertisement.

Without Saracen (who is exceptional), you would be lost.
Soooo.......it is goodbye to ruling with a 'SELECTIVE' iron fist but a certain clouded brain!

You are a very poor moderator.
Shame there is only 1 Saracen.

    Hi Blitzen

I am not sure what exactly I am supposed to be turning a blind eye to?
What exact abuse of powers have I supposed to have exercised here?

There have been several posts in that you have expressed your dissatisfaction with the moderation here. Now we don't have have issue with constructive feedback, in fact we have an entire forum set up for it, but there are going to be times when we simply don't agree.
You have taken an approach of posting in most threads about how much you dislike it here....and your sig speaks wonders.
If this place is so bad, why not just leave?

Additionally, if you feel that I've done something unfair to you please contact DR or Saracen - I am sure they would be happy to take a look.

You can always contact me too, as you know I've moved to help you in the past.

However, I'm not too sure what you've got into a tiz about and I think some of your posts, especially given the involvement I've had with you, are more than unfair towards a mod team that has been very helpful and possibly over-lenient with you.

Looking back through the banned users, you're being given a fair whack of freedom... and yet, despite being asked to tell us, I can't see where you've said why you've got such a cob on.

I'm starting to suspect that you get a bit of a kick out of causing a stir, which seems at odds with the Blitzen I know from PMs... I dunno, is that you?

No amateur psycho-babble from me though, as I've a feeling you'll let fly at me for trying to help or tell me I'm no therapist and to butt out... maybe, maybe not.

The one thing I do know for sure is that it's 1.45am and yet again I'm being asked to have a look at a thread with one of your posts in it and see whether the mod has been fair.

My internal 'diminishing returns' gauge is starting to run very low, tbh.
