if the game is new enough, it should list the larger resolutions such as WoW etc and they look beautiful. However, I don't use the 23" to game (I have before tho), right now it's the 42" plasma @ 1080i with the Xbox 360

Most windows games handle the aspect ratio fine. Even good old total annihilation works fine in 1920x1200.
Well, what I'm thinking about is, say you're playing an FPS game, which normally you play with a resoltion that would give an aspect ratio of 4:3, when you have a resolution that would give about a 16:9 aspect ratio, does it look natural within the game?.. I've noticed newer games in recent years even let you pick a 'letterbox' rendering, i dunno, im just fishing for opinions i guess.
IMHO thenewer games which have the correct resolution options look great, theres no feeling of the squashed effect you could encounter a few years ago when widescreen moniors were few and far between - When I say correct resolution I mean so you can choose the correct res for the 16x9 screens or in fact with the new Half Life episode even a full range of options for the 16x10 screens like the Dell 24" etc
Thanks Bourne, pretty much the answer I'm looking for, I have a 19" and 17" CRTs in a dual head configuration, while it's a fairly pleasent setup, both monitors use up about the room of a 42" widescreen tv :/
Though it might be some time before I rake enough cash in to go for a 24" tft.
bsodmike, that room is sexual

Nice....interesting centre speaker placement, you might be experiencing interference due to the monitor edge, maybe raise the TFT a bit?
