This is my entry for the Metro 2033 competition, my survival guide to the game, inspired by many other great games, this is not for the prize, just for the play along factor, I know there are people who can come up with better, so let's see it, you, yeah you reading this now, get typing.
Equipment:
Survival in Post Apocalyptic Russia will not be easy, so I thought I would start my guide by giving details of the kinds of equipment a Post Apocalyptic warrior would need to survive and succeed in the Metro system of this once great and now decaying city.
Bee In a Jar - Taken straight from The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, this item will serve as a great defense when confronted by small groups mutants, these normally ferocious monsters that are hell bent on destroying every surviving human will be reduced to cowering little girls and run aways screaming at the sight of a bee in a jar. Use with caution as dropping the jar will kill your bee.
Banana's - From Mario Kart, when facing charging mutants toss out some bananas so the mutants slip over buying you some reload time.
Crowbar - If I've learnt anything at all from Valve games it's that it will be impossible to survive any situation unless you have a crowbar at hand.
A Non-Combat Pet - Look if it was good enough to help in Word of Warcraft it must be good enough here.
Tetrominoes - In my Post Apocalyptic Russia the survivors would use the playing pieces from Tetris as currency, use these to buy jars so you can catch bees to put inside them. It will take a full line to buy a single jar, but if you spend four lines at once you can get some extra jars, just remember not to drop them.
