I've just bought 2 22" LG models and I'm going to stick with LG as I'd like 2 24" models too. Priced around the £320 mark, they are bloody great value for the money and I dont see them being any worse than the 22"s I have. But then again, they are bloody brillaint for quality and for the price, well, bargin for me
My 2408WFP came yesterday, and while it's very good, the red is overbearing as standard and it has a bright-pixel. The dodgy pixel doesn't bother me in the slightest - it takes a lot of effort to actually spot it in the first place, and I had 2 corn-flies stuck in my previous monitor for a year and a half, without them distracting me either. Dell do accept RMAs for even single bright pixels apparently though.
Have to say if I was to recommend a 24" monitor to someone else, it would be the Benq I mentioned earlier. I'd buy this again myself as I love having almost infinite input options, but as a monitor the Benq is a little ahead. Certainly couldn't recommend a Samsung while they refuse to tell you what panel you've got. You don't know that any 2 Samsungs are going to be even similar.
One thing I feel I should point out is that I recently was using a 22" Widescreen TN panel and it only had 160/160 viewing angles, on some screens it was ok but on most things including light backgrounds ie.internet etc... the viewing angles were very noticeable and off putting to me, a 24" screen will be even more noticeable.
Just my 2p's worth
is anyone here using the BenQ 24"?

My New HP w2408h turned up with a red/lazy pixel. HP won't RMA for any less than 5 it would seem, but if it is any help to you all I did was just after firing up the screen, I kept flicking it with my finger, and the red pixel just started to flicker then eventually started to work.
It did come back 3 or 4 times but I just did the same thing and now it hasn't been back for about a week or so.
My son has got a no name brand screen with exactly the same problem, but after spending about 1/2 an hour flicking that one, his red pixel has never returned.
This process can take an hour or so of flicking but it does work. Remember just use your finger and NOTHING else just in case you damage the screen.
good luck
Life is like Computing, just when you get it all working properly, Bits need replacing
Just set up my Dell 2408 this afternoon, first impressions... it's a beauty! Nice picture quality ,I'm not a specialist, just a user and I found it to be perfect out of the box , no dead pixels , no off colour or any other problems as far as I can see . Played LOTR for a few minutes and didn't notice any problems there. Will be a keeper for sure.
