HEXUS Shed of the Year 2007

    Following Schmunk's suggestion...

Let us know about your shed...

I'll let you post about your own, and then maybe we can put together a poll when we have all the nominations / suggestions

Mine's a 1990 H reg VW Scirocco Scala 1.8 injection (112bhp), black leather seats, 4 pirelli tyres and 14" alloys, an aiwa cd/mp3 stereo wired up incorrectly, so the back speakers are the right channel and the front speakers are the left channel! The rev counter doesn't go past 2500rpm, but the engine certainly does, managing 60mph in 2nd! it was £350 and included MOT and says my name backwards in the number plate! 181k, and I've vacuumed the air filter to clean it a bit and get rid of the crud and leaves. more pics here.

Does it absolutely have to be a currently owned shed?

Re: HEXUS Shed of the Year 2007

    OK it's none of those

but my first car, a Fiat Cinquecento was a bit of a bargain. Not sure I'd call it a shed though as it wasn't falling apart, but it wasn't exactly motoring at it's finest. Sold it for 100% profit on what I paid for it

Kalniel what did you have before the Astrargh?

Re: HEXUS Shed of the Year 2007

My shed is an L reg 1.2 Clio Oasis, not sure how many miles on the clock, daren't look, he gets me to where I want to go and that's enough for me, it's very nippy, i've had 85 out of it before now!, you can also pull away in 2nd and 3rd gear ( as I have dicovered on a couple of occasions ) There is a tiny oil leak from the engine which Jon is going to sort, wheel trims were bought from a Car Boot sale, he has rust patches as you can see, an inbuilt shower as water comes in through the light fittings, to be fair it only happens in severe rain, the actual sun roof doesn't leak... there's a little mildew inside on the plastics where it was left standing for nearly two years, good wash with hot water brought the worst off and i'm looking for some new bumpers as his are discoloured but hey! the Car was free, can't go wrong, I wouldn't swap it for the World, it's a great little Car

Rust and dints as you can see, there's a matching patch on the other side it gives the Car character

Can't see it there, but there's a dirty great footprint on the bonnet, looks like some eejit has been climbing on my Car, times like this i'm glad my Car is a heap

Awwwwww he's worth more than the Car i'm sure, and keeps me company on long journeys

    Not sure

    What've you got?
Does it fit into these categories:
shed, banger, old car, < £500 car, bargain of the year ?

If not maybe we could tweek the criteria ?

I don't know - I'd say it fits - but when we have all the submissions, I'll setup a poll and let people vote, and then it's up to them to decide which they like the most.

M reg Toyata Corolla 1.6 GLi
Silver grey (was last time it was wahsed which was...... ooo, can't remember)
    136k on the clock
Still sound of body & utterly reliable (touch wood).

Gets me to work & back every day, through some tight one track country lanes, which often means pulling up onto the side of the lane to let lorrys past that have chosen to ignore the road signs. Hence the passenger side has the odd hedge scratch.

Pics, maybe, if I can be arsed.

    It's my shed & I love it
    Lovely large boot space
