Ok, so the new superhub update has gone live, nearly bit a poor guys head off for not following my instructions when his screens were obviously all different, bad CS on my part, anyways...


If you use Xbox live, Torrents or many other services, either get really good at port forwarding or turn off the firewall, otherwise yer going nowhere.

Not had R36 yet still on R30 here, I hear the GUI is slightly different also.

But this is why uPNP was made. It's almost like VM are going backwards

Just had the R36 update and from what I can see I'm not that impressed, no way would I be able to live it as my primary router.

Why is it bad with Torrents?

Anyway, am not updating if that is true, I never get to watch Anime again.

You don't get a choice in this regard as updates are pushed out automatically, I was just browsing the web when the Superhub rebooted and was upgraded to R36.

From what I know, an simple reboot shouldn't start the update process, it should only happen if you power it down, wait X seconds and then turn it on for it to update.

The update is pushed out automatically and at the end it force reboots the SH.

Does it still do this in modem mode or is this when it's doing the router job too ?

no update yet, maybe cause mines in modem mode . The wifi was so bad it would be <60mb connection to the laptop in the room nextdoor! My dlink has poor wireless but it reaches my room barely (SH didnt) and when in the room next to it i can get over 140mb which is much better .


Ill try again when i get this update, be nice to have something better than my dlink, a reliable connection to my room would be epic.

Agent, completely agree, anyways, future updates should help firewall settings I hope, best bet in meantime is turning off the firewall in the advanced options, or using modem mode and 3rd party router, as always

Just turned ours off for a few minutes then back on and we're still on R30
