No, virgin stopped Pirate Bay from working, as they were instructed to do so by the courts. Its completely ineffectual and easily worked around, but not something I will discuss on these forums.

Firewall can block torrents and there have been some issues with Xbox live, but to be honest, had absolutely no calls regarding the firewall part of it.
However, your hub will come with r30 firmware and upgrade itself to r36 first time you turn it on, log into the hub 192.168.0.1 admin/changeme go to advanced settings, device management, reboot/reset and choose restore to factory settings. then log back into the hub after reset, get into wifi settings and change the channel from auto to a set channel, at the moment having most success with 6, but may not be best for you.
Right now im using the shub with the Dlink attached as a wireless access point rather than as the main wireless unit, to see how it goes.
don't pick a random channel, use inSSIDer to fine the quietest one http://www.metageek.net/support/downloads/

Gotta disagree there Gonz, The superhub is really finicky and doesnt work well on certain channels, especially with Apple products. 6 and 11 appear to be fairly strong and compatible but 1/12/13 cause problems in various devices (ps3 and certain mobile phones included in that). What works for one might not work for another tho
i thought the update had sorted all that
glad i use mine in modem mode..

You have another wireless router attached? I dont really want to use their router, prefer to use my own, not saying the E3000 is brilliant or anything ...
Debating whether to order the SuperHub as they have just upgraded the network so one can have 60Mb speed. Currently have a modem+router combo. Is it worth it?
yes you stick it in modem mode and connect the 1st lan port to the other routers wan and it acts like the old standard single port modems you used to have, fix's every possible issue that way

Does anyone have issues with the superhub responding to its address, my internet works but I can't connect to the webpage.
And mine overheats with the wireless enabled.. its a horrid piece of kit.
Shouldnt overheat, check the plug for the output voltage and amp rating, should be 12V and 1.5A, anything else give tech support a call on 151, needs replaced.
Gonzo, had a couple recently where a 2 different customers with houses full of wireless gear (xbox, ps3, phones, laptops) couldnt get the SSID on channel 6, at all. Now some devices not picking up a certain channel sure, but 6 is pretty much mid range and most devices get it. was fine on channel 11 tho, and this is with no other visible networks in the area.
Some superhubs are downright strange.
I phoned them up a while ago and they fobbed me of saying that it should be turned off when not in use. Lol what?!
I am using the provide transformer but I can put a meter on a see what it reads.
I haven't had the overheat warning since I turned the wireless off. So I'm not to bothered.
