    Your firefox plugins....

    Seeing as firefox has quite a large following these days i was curious to see what add-ons people were using. I find them so helpful & time saving, despite being small and free applpcations so figured id share them with you;

    My most usefull;

    Lazarus Form Recovery - theres nothing worse then creating a large post/e-mail only to watch it disappear because of something crashing, freezing or human error. With this add-on you just right click and select 'recover text' and bingo, it puts it all back where it was. The same for forms you fill out. Think of it as MS word document recovery wizard.

    British English Dictionary, its what spell check is for MS word. Spell a word wrong & it will underline it and offer you suggestions on how to not sound like a numptie!

    Reload on double click, useful to reload tabs/multiple tabs at the same time.

    Reload every, reload a page every 'x' secs, useful for ebay etc.

    Anyone got any useful apps to share?

    Re: Your firefox plugins....

    Video DownloadHelper:

    Let's you grab video's from Youtube and the like and save them as FLV or MP4 for HD

    IE Tab:

    What it says on the tin, renders IE tabs in Firefox (handy for windows update and MS download links)

    Tab Focus:

    Let you change the tab on mouse over instead of a click

    Download Statusbar:

    Moves all download to the status bar at the bottom of FF instead of them having their own personal window with downloads in.

    Then there is the British English Dictionary, although it doesn't actually pick up a lot do British English words xD Had to add quite a few manually to it.

    Re: Your firefox plugins....

    I've been a Firefox user for a couple of years now and I probably won't go back to IE partly because of these add-ons, my installed favs are;

    FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension); My full profile (histroy,bookmarks and more) backed-up and to be restored at any point, made things so much easier.

    Autopager, I absolutely love this the amount of time saved is almost god like and is a definitive selling point for me.

    Anycolour: it's just cool to have red and personas doesn't work for me!

    Download Helper: Means I don't have to use Youtube's video player and it's awful buffer, fail on HD switch and other 'quirks'

    The only one I have not seen mentioned yet, and as a web developer is great

    Firebug (http://getfirebug.com/) - lets you debug Javascript, inspect HTML and CSS on the page (easy to see at a glance where the item is getting its CSS from) and change it on the fly (particulary useful when you want to try something out)

    Stumble and Digg toolbars as I use them for games reviewing. Trying that British English Toolbar as the new American one is annoying.

    My favourites:

    Adblock Plus - no comment required, absolutely indispensable.
    All-In-One Gestures - mouse gestures, speeds up browsing loads.
    DownThemAll! - good download manager.
    Firebug - web development Swiss army knife. Coding without it feels like I have one arm tied behind my back.
    FoxyTunes - control iTunes (or pretty much any media player) from Firefox.

    Re: Your firefox plugins....

    Heck, I realise that I must be running a few more than average...

    • "Add to Search Bar" - Allows users to right click on a website search box and add that to FF's list of built-in search engines featured in the FF search box.
    • "British English Dictionary"
    • "Ctrl-Tab" - Navigation for tabs; similar to Alt+Tab on Windows.
    • "Download Status Bar"
    • "Download Helper"
    • "DownloadThemAll!" - Mass downloader for FF.
    • "Favicon Picker 3" - Replace and customise bookmark icons.
    • "Fission" - Progress bar in the address bar (Safari style).
    • "Flagfox" - Displays a flag in the address bar depicting the location of the current server.
    • "Forecastfox" - Local weather forecast displayed in the toolbar or statusbar.
    • "FoxyTunes" - Control your media player from FF.
    • "Menu Mod" - Customise FF menus.
    • ""Personal Menu" - Create your own menus and menu icons.
    • "RSS Ticker" - Constantly scrolls your RSS feeds across a toolbar.
    • "Tab Mix Plus" - Tab browsing with an added boost - I can't live without this one.
    • "URLbarExt" - Additional functionality for the URL bar
    • "Web of Trust" - A bit of defence against harmful sites
    • "X Marks"

    That said, I do make use of them all.

    Cooliris
    Easy DragToGo

    Not a lot people mentioned the 'Easy DragToGo' and 'Tab Kit'. I highly recommend these two!
