Best headset is the Plantronics DSP-500's in my opinion. Built in 5.1 digital sound card so you don't have to have a sound card. USB with a mic, costly but such high quality sound.
I've owned about 6 pairs of headphones over the years (same situation to you) and i find that the heavier bass ends up causing ears to ache when its in headphones. i've tried more expensive pairs and can't honestly say its worth spending much more than 15 quid because the difference is never immense, but thats just me. i settled from an 8.99 pair from argos most recently, but thats only because i like ones that strap over you ears- don't mess up hair
cool ill have alook at the plantronics set
Kirb - I know what you mean but I once had a set for £20 which had excellent sound unfortunatley my kids ate the mic so it had to passed over for use on an electric police bike little b*ggers
anymore?
I wouldn't go plantronics personnally. I've used both Plantronics DSPs and audio x's and neither are as good as Sennheisers with a half decent soundcard. Plantronics break, even DSPs. Used to use DSPs but now i have sennheisers i wouldn't go back.
Sennheisers have been highly recommended. Many music people I know who need high quality sound use them.

There's a few models with microphones there.. Since I bought the HD570s, I don't think I could ever go back to another brand of headies. Bloody beautiful, they are.
cool thnx ill try the seinheiser want some cool sounds for il2 fb
Another vote for Sennheiser. They do a huge range of top quality headphones to suit all needs.

I love Sennheiser too. Have been thinking about getting a set with a mic for a while now. Have a pair that I use listening to msic on my hifi system, they are very comfy and sound quality is great.
bit pricey i saw £36 but still i have crap sound atm with a very simple set and its getting annoying so im off tot he world of seinheiser and a new monitor for that matter!
