    Something wrong with Opera?

When I view my site www.digicamreview.com - after scrolling half way down the page the text becomes corrupted and becomes invisible (white text) and if you highlight it the text is all corrupt. This doesn't happen in IE, or Firefox. And seems to me to be an Opera bug - I've tried reinstalling Opera to the latest version 9.52 and tried it on a number of PCs - I've also noticed it on other sites (like dixons.co.uk or comet.co.uk or currys.co.uk where you have to hover the mouse over everything before the images bother appearing)...

Is this an opera bug, or a problem with my site? I've tried removing the javascript stuff, and it hasn't made any difference. I've also tried a google search and found no information about it.

Happening here too. XP SP2 and Opera 9.52. Looks like a text rendering or CSS bug to me.

Have you been on the Opera community forums and asked there?

On the main page just now, it's happening at the Panasonic TZ5, although if i scroll up and down a bit, the text will appear again.

Looks like they are (or at least someone is) aware of it:
    http://my.opera.com/community/forums....dml?id=244877

I'm going to ditch opera till they fix it, and the other bugs that stop me from using blogger and facebook effectively. (facebook photo viewer - click too many times using opera and you either get a right click (on the next button) or you get taken right back to the beginning of the album).

    Re: Something wrong with Opera?

It's a shame, I really like Opera, but it is quite buggy in some respects.

9.52 improved a lot over 9.51 though, I hope the next update sorts things out properly.

    Re: Something wrong with Opera?

IE suffers from the same issue on certain sites, but only if you scroll whilst the page is loading. Once all the content is in place it is fine. Bit messy, but if you're concerned consider altering how you buffer content to the client for the time being. Is this even a software development question? Or choice of browser question?
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
