Nice Hope to see some more when it's built and at home too in all it's glory
Noticed you went for a Blu Ray writer too Pave. I get a bit fed up with people telling me not to bother with them as they're an expensive waste. Media will, as always come down in price. Just a nice little luxury to have
Yeah, On my very first "rough draft" I initially selected the Pioneer DVD Writer and "Blu Ray Not Required" As I didn't intend to watch any blu-ray films on it (have a player & 32-in Widescreen TV specifically for that)
but then when I started going through tweaking the various options/components, the GGW-H20L really became a no-brainer for all the different formats it's compatible with and
also it having Lightscribe, which I use a lot on my current system and is very handy for quickly neatly labelling discs when burning (so no more sitting down later with a pile of discs wondering what's on each one and having to play it to find out)
and even though I'm not planning to use the blu-ray for film watching, the massive storage capacity of blue-ray media (25/50 Gb!) is very attractive - especially as you say in time when the price of blank media drops - as even with double layer DVD's you always find something just too big for one disc or have to split on two or more discs.
Very nice build
If SCAN wants to send me one for 'testing purposes' then i would happily oblige
Do it SCAN, you know you want to...
It doesn't look like a Silkorsky MH-53 though??
At least you did NOT name it after the HH-53 otherwise it would have to be called Super Jolly Green Giant!!
Thanks guys
Sure you guys can order a copy... but the "original" is coming home with me
in fact just had a call from Philip to say it has finished tests
Pave Low,
Going to leave the pictures until tomorrow the cam we have at the moment is rubbish, our dedicated camera spod (ant) left his at home today
I will get some posted up in the morning
Best Regards
is it a set fee for the custom builds (on top of parts prices), or does it vary?
Looks good! PC goodness.
