    AB9 Pro Lan/Ethernet problem

    Hi there,
Just installed the AB9 Pro motherboard, but am unable to get any sort of connectivity whatsoever. Have installed the latest LAN drivers from the website but still no joy. Vista is convinced there is no connection. The lights on the motherboard connectors flicker as per normal, but not recieving any lights on my computer (the one corresponding to the port i had it connected used to be permanently lit on my old motherboard - no such lights this time!)
The router is a Linksys WAG54G.
I am wondering if anyone knows of an incompatibility issue or have any ideas that will get it to work? Many thanks!!

I have mine connected to a WRT54G with no issues, are the ports enabled within the bios. My Vista build recognises the LAN without any further need for drivers so tbh I havent played with newer LAN drivers. I have one port enabled within the bios, the other disabled as I dont use it

Have you tried downloading from the different branches? .tw and usa.com versions of the website? I downloaded a corrupt BIOS from the .tw and went to .com and had no problems so perhaps this could be the case here?

Also, have you tried in both LAN ports?

No I was just mentioning that I had done a BIOS update and it was corrupt and went to the .com and that worked fine, so what I'm saying is have you tried going to the alternative to get the LAN drivers?

Turns out that somehow i killed the ports on the linksys as i was connecting it to the motherboard. Bought a DLINK version instead and it seems to work fine now! Thanks for all the suggestions!

dont chuk the router, install DDWRT, might find it was just a config problem, and this formware is oustanding for fully using the router, turned my WRT54G into an access point
