    That is always the question.
Wait for a newer board or wait for the price the price to fall.
If it was me I would get a QuadGT they are reliable and easy to play around with, without toppling over every other OC you try.
I cannot see the next one being that much of an upgrade and I personally will be skipping them as the QuadGT is such a nice board.
You can wait and the new one may be a dog or it may be the greatest. To much waiting and you miss all the fun.

Whenever you decide to buy, the next itineration will always just be another couple of months down the line. As redlight says, QuadGT now, it's the best mobo i've had in years.

I would say definately wait for the IP35 Pro as there isnt long until it is released. It looks like an excellent board for a very reasonable price. The new chipset will keep your back covered incase you keep the mobo for a while and then want to upgrade to the new CPUs.

There arent any reviews up yet but it will either be equal to the QuadGT or better, they are not exactly going to release a new board that performs worse than its predecessor

However, Abit bios' are normally a bit dodgy for the first few releases. If you can wait, I would probably wait until they have released a couple of bios revisions and they have got to a stable version.

Personally I've decided not to wait for the next version, I'd rather pick up something I know to be stable rather than wait out for new versions of the BIOS to come out.

After all I buy a computer to use, not to beta test

Its a good time to be getting the QuadGT, most if not all the bugs have been worked out with the latest BIOS releases. But remember to build it with the right components or you'll be back here cussing abit.....LOL. Top end memory and PSU's go a long way towards a trouble free build.

Hey Rob just to let you know, IP35-PRO is arriving @ YOYOtech on 05/06/2007 and despite of newer chipset and slightly better features, it is actually cheaper than AB9 QuadGT. Check it out.

Ive been looking aswell and there are no proper reviews out yet. Gonna decide between the Asus P5K and the Abit IP35 Pro once some proper reviews come out...
You can see the specs of it though here:

& you can see that the IP35 Pro gives you a far higher spec. for the same money as a basic P5K.
    seen oc results of 480fsb with a QX6700 & 580fsb with an E6700.
Gilgamesh should also have 1 to give an initial impression of.
