    Instability causes instant reboot instead of BSOD or error.

    Hi everyone. I'm trying to find out what my new system is capable of, but it's getting tricky. In all my past builds if I had a hardware instability due to OC'ing, I'd get an error in Prime95, BSOD, or exception. With this setup I have however (see below), my computer instantly reboots with no warning. Any idea why this might be? All my temps are quite low and I've kept my cpu under 1.45 volts in various OC attempts.

    A-Bit AB9 Quad GT
    Intel Conroe e6600
    Crucial Ballsitix 6400 CL4

    Max stable long-term Orthos, Prime95, & all Futuremark benchmarks:
    Multiplier = 9
    FSB = 365 MHz
    Core speed = 3.285 GHz
    CPU Load temps = 40C
    Mobo Load temps = 49C
    Mem timings are loose right now - 5,5,5,15,30 2T dual channel
    Mem voltage @2.0v
    Cpu voltage @1.42v (in BIOS)
    Every other program reports a different cpu voltage in Win XP.

    Should I add voltage to any of the mobo chips? They're all at default right now.

    Thanks!

    what BIOS rev.?
    what divider are you running your RAM on?
    You also want may want to try 2.1Vdimm & perhaps an increase on MCH.

    49C for the system temp seems quite high though - what's your cooling setup (incl. HSF)?

    It's also possible that your CPU may need more Vcore for a higher clock - later C2Ds don't seem to clock as well.
