Abit IN9 32-max Uguru Utility Freeze

    hi guys i have just built a new system;

    Abit IN9 32-max
    Intel E6600
    Corsair 1gbx2 XMS2 Pro
    ASUS 2900XT
    2x Seagate 7200.10
    Seasonic S12 600w

I am running Vista home Premium and everything worked fine untill i tried to start OC'ing in bios. All of my bios works fine except for the Uguru utility, Everything between CPU Operating Speed and BN PCIe x16 clock is greyed out and i cannot change anything. Plus if i try to change anything (basically hitting enter) in uguru the bios freezes and i have to restart.
This isnt just individual parts of uguru but every option :*(

If i attempt to OC my e6600 using the uguru in windows it crashes at anything above 218x9..
I have a AC Freezer Pro 7 cpu cooler so i dont think its heat (32'c idle).

Having just built the system its highly frustrating i cannot even OC my CPU
i have tried finding a thread showing the same problem but there doesnt seem to be one.

If anyone could help i would really appreciate it.

I've had this problem before on my quad gt, I used to get a bsod when I tried to apply any setting was very annoying I found that a simple uninstall of all uGuru stuff then a restart then a reinstall fixed the problem.

If that does'nt work I'd suggest you have a look about for a updated version of uGuru.

What bios version are you using. The freezing bios was an issue with the original bios, try updating to the newest version 1.2.

Remember to always use the F10 option to save your BIOS changes.

daza your correct this issue is down to the urguru in windows. there was an option in General settings that made uguru start from power up , meaning u couldnt use the Bios Uguru.. having such a silly option with no explanation is fairly stupid for anyone who is new to abit. Plus I found it highly annoying that the in9 manual only had 1 page on Bios telling the user the really good information of pressing Delete to start bios..
I expect more than 1 page on bios for my money and the 1.0v of bios that comes with this Mobo is a joke.
This is a great mobo but releasing it in this state was unfair on the consumer.
