AN8 Ultra - USB won't run at full speed

    Hi.

Whenever i plug a Hi Speed USB device into any of the USB ports i get the message "There are no Hi Speed USB host controllers installed on the computer. The Hi Speed device will run at reduced speed". I get this no matter which port i use, front or back.

I have re-installed the nForce4 Drivers but still no joy (although it did not mention anything about USB, just IDE etc).

What confuses me even more is that device manager has two entries for 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' and one of them lists 'PCI Class USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller", which i thought means i had Hi Speed USB.

Whats going on here, and how can i fix it?

USB drivers are in Windows, SP2 is all that you should need if on XP.
Can you see if you can roll back/upgrade to another driver (my DM entry has Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller)?

What's the device that's causing the problem. I had a similar issue with a cheapo flash disk that was purported to be USB 2.0, but only ever ran at 1.1 speed with the same annoying message. My other flash disk runs at 2.0 speeds every time...
