Abit AN8 suddenly shut down - now POST code 9.0

Thanks, but no luck this time either. I used awdflash /tiny /Wb.
The first 1/2 of the first line was "No change" and the rest was all OK. Previous flashes were all white (i.e. no "no change" parts).

Still, same ol' code. I'm guessing it's not the BIOS after all.

Edit: OK, I got a new mobo on the way. I gotta say I'm almost completely sure this one's dead after all this testing and troubleshooting, but even if it's not, I'm not going to throw it out the window, so *if* it works it might come in handy in the future.

Hi,

I came across your post as I am having the same symptoms - AN8 motherboard and stops on post code 90.

What output is your power supply?

In my case it looks like the psu I was trying has aged and its output dipped.
If I power up the AN8 with no hard drives or other devices taking power it powers up to bios no problem.
As soon as I plug in an IDE hd post code 90

Yes, this was indeed a long time ago - I still have the thread subscription, though.
I tried two 420W PSUs and (as I also said) complete other sets of CPU/RAM/GFXs with it, without any luck.
Sadly, in the end I bought a new (well, used) motherboard, which it solved the problem. (No surprise there.)
