Thank you.
One more thing. Each time I reboot, or switch on the system, my USB devices are turned off. MY USB mouse, for instance, does not work. I need do disconnect and re-connect the USB cable to the motherboard for it to work.

OK! Big problem!
2GB of memory at 2.1V, 4-4-4-12 and 2T boot just fine. but when I add the extra two GB the system Blue Screens me while booting Windows!!!
I've tried Clearing CMOS, and 5-5-5-15 and 2T timmings! It just crashes everytime I want to load Windows. I take these 2 extra GB out and voilá! It boots just fine!
What's going on!?
are you using vista 32 or 64 bit? and is the extra 2 gb of ram rated for 4-4-4-12 2t?
Vista 64 bit.
I couldn't find that information about the memory timmings. I know it's 4-4-4-12, but I don't know if it's 1T or 2T...
I just found out another issue.
Everytime I boot the system, my mouse does not work (It's USB, my keyboard is PS/2 and works perfectly), I have to reconnect the USB connector for it to work.
Am I leaving something OFF that should be ON in the BIOS?

What USB header are you using?
The RED one. Altough I have also tried the GREEN one.
Do you have any other USB devices? If so do they need to be reconnected?
I've had this problem. There was a hotfix that seemed to clear the issue up for me. Can't remember which one it was now (I'll look when I get home), but it blue screened with a 0x00000007A stop error. I took 2GB of RAM out and it's ok. Then I put the RAM back in after installing the patch and it's worked fine ever since.
Oups, sorry I didn't answer Sean! I completely forgot.
It's working, I think there was in fact a hotfix. No issues now.
I'm getting now ready to install Windows XP x64, I got tired of a buggy Vista. And I was wondering, Do I need to press F6 during the installation to load aditional drivers? And if yes, which ones?? The NVRaid Installation disk? Are these the ones?
I'm running RAID, and I did install the NVRaid installation disk. Butk I'm getting a "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT DISK AND PRESS ENTER" error... Any ideas?
About Vista, I can't stand it. There's absolutely no support, it's a BUGGY system, it takes tons of performance from my system, its just ridiculous. I got tired.
sorry, I gave up on RAID years ago as more hassle than it was worth for me (I appreciate that for some people it is worth the effort though).
Have you tried the abit-USA forum?
Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my Abit IN9 32X MAX.
I installed Windows XP x64. In the Partition menu (I have 5 HDDs), I created a partition (C: ) on my 74GB WD Raptor for my OS, one other (D: ) on one WD 500GB HDD and another one on another WD 500GB (E: ). The Raptor will be OS only, and the 500Gbs ones will serve for storage and downloads, no RAID.
I left two WD 160GB un-partitioned, because I was going to create a RAID0 array between them later.
So, I installed XP, no problems so far. With additional RAID drivers (F6 during install) from the Abit web-site. Now I want to create the RAID0 array for the other two disks. I reboot and enter the BIOS. And this happens:
ºWhen I first check, the "Hard Disk Boot Priority" all 5 disks are there, Raptor on top.
ºThen I set the "Onboard SATA Mode" to "RAID".
ºAfter that, in the "OnChip IDE/RAID Function" -> "RAID Configuration" I set the "RAID Function" to "ENABLED" and I select the option "ENABLED" on the "SATA3 RAID" and "SATA4 RAID", those are the SATA numbers of the two WD 160GB.
ºThen I enter the RAID menu and set these two on a RAID0 array, no problem at all.
But now, when I want to boot Windows XP an error occurs: "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT DISK AND PRESS ENTER" and I have to reboot.
Now, when I enter the BIOS and go again to "Hard Disk Boot Priority" the Hard Drives aren't there! I only see at number 1 my RAID0 array! And no more! That's why the error occurs, the Raptor HDD where Windows is installed isn't booting.
How can I solve this? I've been troubleshooting this computer for hours now with no success. I need help.
Thank you.
