    Abit Fp-IN9 Q6600 GO

    Hey,

I have a Q6600 GO stepping coming on tuesday as an upgrade from my E4300 (Clocked at 3.2GHz) Has anyone had any luck Overclocking this Cpu on the FP-IN9? I was hoping to get around 3.4GHz OC from this Cpu to make the upgarde noticable compared to teh E4300 in day to day apps. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    I think that you'll struggle to get that with a Q6600 on a 650i.

I should get 3.0GHz easily yeah? 1333MHz Fsb - I would be happy with that it will be more a less the same clock as my £4300 but with the two extra cores and the extra 6mb cache lol

3 should be easy, however whether you see any noticible difference against your previous will be software dependent.
Not many apps use the 4 cores, but if you want to multi task, dedicating each core to an app, then yes you will.

    Hi Ollie,

I've just upgraded my E6700 to a Q6600 G0 and can only get 2.7 out of it (using bios 14)

If you get a good overclock then let me know your settings as I'm gutted with the low overclock compared to 3.5 with the E6700.

Good luck and let me know how you get on!

it's a bad chipset for quad core fsb clocking - expect low to mid 300s at best.
