SATA DVDRW wont work with IN9-32MAX

does anyone know of any known problems with SATA DVDRW's and the IN9-32MAX? I have tried two samsung SATA writers, different models, both work fine on my AB9-Pro but neither will show up on the IN9-32MAX?

Am checking what bios revision it is now

This is a brand new system bought today, building it now....well trying to

What mode are your sata ports set to? i.e. are you running in RAID

running in IDE mode, in the process of flashing the bios to 13, will let you know how I get on

update - 13 made no difference

either, bios shows the 3 500GB drives, but not the optical drives, they dont even have power. I know that looks like PSU but if I connect HD to the same SATA power connector they power up fine. Is a very weird prob

Thats very strange?? I take you have tried various SATA ports. Also if disconnect the SATA cable and leave the power plugged in does the drive power on?

Re: SATA DVDRW wont work with IN9-32MAX

emergency over, everything is fine if I use a molex to SATA power converter rather than one of the PSU's SATA power connectors, knew it couldnt be an Abit problem....honest

    Thanks Sean
