First power on a HTPC with Abit F-190HD

I'm waiting for a pc with the followinf specs to arrive:

    Case:mATX Antec NSK1300
    MB:Abit F-190HD
    CPU: E2140
    Ram: 2x1GB V-Data PC800 (cheap ram, probably 1,8 v at stock)
Additional Video: HD2400PRO( at the moment i need SVIDEO output)
    HD: Hitachi 160GB SATA II

the case includes a PSU of 300W with only 18A on the 12V line and no power on/off switch (only the connector for tha cable):

    Max Output Current +3.3VDC +5VDC +12VDC -12VDC +5VSB
    Max Wattage 300W 27A 26A 18A 0.8A 2.0A

but i trust on Antec products.....

The installation of the entire pc in that case is very very difficult so i need all the possible adivces to possibly boot fine from the very first time, sorry for boaring you.
As i read in this and in other forums, there could be some problems with this motherboard. From what i could understand:
1)i can't install Vista without updating bios but that's not a problem because I'm going to install WinXP Professional SP2
2)if the ram has a stock voltage too high the pc won't boot and i must boot with other ram and change the vRAM from 1,8 (default) to my needed value.

I s this correct? Are there any other precautions i must take to reduce the need for reopen the case and reinstall it again?

You can't really predict any issues you might have. Your whole build might go smoothly or it might be a nightmare!! All kinds of things can crop up.

First things first, check the BIOS settings. Once you've got it setup, have a good rumage around the BIOS before you install windows. Make sure you're voltages, timings, USB, boot priorities etc etc are all in order. Then just get on and install windows. If you're lucky, you'll be fine

That PSU should be fine. Im using a similar Antec PSU to power by AMDx2 HTPC.
